Didier Morelli (Montréal, Canada) is an interdisciplinary artist and scholar, working at the intersection of performance art, conceptual art, spatial and urban theory. His performance work and practice-led research investigates the relationship between the body of the artist and the infrastructure of cities, with specific attention to how performance art resists, renegotiates, and responds to architectural and urban functionalism. Morelli is currently a PhD Candidate in Performance Studies at Northwestern University, Chicago, Illinois, researching performance works that engaged with, enacted, and translated everyday acts of kinesthetic protest into aesthetic events, in Los Angeles and New York between 1970 and 1985.
